Quite often, a child’s understanding of the Offertory is overshadowed by an interest in who is bringing up the gifts. Some children don’t even understand why they need to drop money into the offering box. Some don’t see the need, some see it as just a regular ritual. They see no importance. Sometimes, children keep the offering money and use it to buy snacks.
