As the year is coming to an end, there is need to be extra cautious. A few days ago, president Buhari’s only son was involved in a bike accident.
Throwing caution to the air is actually easier than being deliberately careful, especially during these holidays, these are times to unwind and relax yet we all need to be both careful and observant.
Here is just one tip to help you
BE EXTRA CAREFUL
This might sound boring as we all hear this all the time, yet being extra careful is in the littlest things and these little things if left unattended to could blow up into huge mishaps.
A- when you pick a knife from a ledger in the kitchen to dice the carrots and greens for the Christmas fried rice, be kind enough to return it to the ledger, don’t leave it laying around the house.
B-When you spill water on the floor which will most likely happen when you are carrying the hot water to de – feather your chicken, please wipe it off immediately don’t wait till one of your nieces slips, falls and sprains his ankle before you do.
C- Be sure to turn off the gas cylinder after cooking that sumptuous pot of ayamashe and ofada rice. Check and check again.
D- Don’t go across the road in a hurry just because you saw an old school mate, or your secondary school crush whom you haven’t seen in decades on the other side of the road, look left, right and left.
E- Ensure all your Christmas decorations are well fastened to the wall so they don’t fall on anyone’s head, also try not to be laden your Christmas tree with too much effects so it doesn’t lose its balance and end up falling on your baby sister at the slightest touch.
F- use your seat belt while driving and keep the kids in the back seats, Obey all road traffic rules. Do this for yourself and for other road users.
G- cover your nose with a face mask while cleaning to keep your airways clear to sing at your church’s carol service.
F- Don’t let your guards down, be security conscious.
G- ladies don’t kill yourself with the body shapers if that pretty dress doesn’t fit, wear something else, only the living can join the fit family. Let that dress become your inspiration to drop some weight in the new year.
H- if someone upsets you, take the high road, do not get physical, just walk away.
Ultimately, it is God who protects and preserves, however, we should play our parts by being cautious, so be cautious and let God do the rest.
Happy holidays families
